Panel discussion IRVA
The RVU Remote Viewing Team has just returned from Las Vegas – USA where we attended the IRVA conference. The conference had many interesting speakers presenting many different subjects related to Remote Viewing.
From Panel discussions with Lyn Buchanan, Paul Smith, Stephan Schwartz and Russell Targ to personal accounts from psychic detectives Pam Coronado and Noreen Renier. From fun dowsing workshops with Paul Smith, predicting the outcome of horse races… to an entertaining spoon bending party with Lyn Buchanan.
We also got to enjoy the presentation / preview of a beautiful documentary about the life of ‘the father of Remote Viewing’ Ingo Swann, by Rock & Roll photographer Robert Knight and the recently appointed president of the IRVA John Stahler.

Jim Channon
Ever since the film ‘The Men Who Stare At Goats came out and people learned about ‘The First Earth Battalion’ (in the film presented as the New Earth Battalion). Now whether people took the movie for fact or fiction, many were fascinated by the character played by Jeff Bridges…the pony-tailed Lieutenant Col. who went to explore different techniques and ways, that could assist soldiers in battle, he eventually found that they should be trained as ‘Jedi-Warriors’ or ‘Warrior Monks’. Well, we got to meet the real creator of ‘The First Earth Battalion’ and First Earth Battalion Operations Manual a Reprint of Original Manual from the 70’s
…Lieutenant Col. Jim Channon.
Jim is extremely inspiring and creative personality, a trend setter, artist and social architect. Jim now inspires the corporate sector, by taking their staff on a journey they will remember for the rest of their lives, including the ‘spiritual’ lessons they learned.
We got to meet our French colleague Alexis Champion and his lovely partner Claire. Alexis gave a presentation and amazed many with his achievement as he is the first Remote Viewing Company who is recognised by the French legal system as an ‘expert witness’. We do hope other jurisdictions all over the world will follow this example.
All the way from Ireland, speaker Paul O’Connor gave an insightful presentation on the enhancement of the Remote Viewing skill by the use of ‘Tapping’ or Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) to rid ourselves of fears that may hold us back in Remote Viewing and in our daily lives.
Dr. Courtney Brown let us in on his recent research project that has yet to be completed. Even though the research has yet to receive feedback in 2013 it already seems to show some very interesting indications. We will keep our eyes focused on the climate change research of Dr. Courtney Brown, founder of the Farsight Institute.
Neuroscientist Dr. Donald Hoffman presented us with new insights on ‘human perception’ and how our senses can fool us at times, simply by the interpretation of the sensory input by our brain.
Psi Researcher Brenda Dunne gave a presentation about the Remote Viewing research she has done in the past. Brenda is more commonly known for her research of PK or mind-over-matter research, in particular the mind over matter influence on a random number generator. It was interesting to hear about the other (less known) research she has done.
Marty Rosenblatt held an ARV (Associative Remote Viewing) Workshop which allowed the attendees to Remote View the outcome of the next Horse Race. After the workshop many made their way to the local sports bar to place their bet. What would Las Vegas be without a bit of gambling!
We loved the anecdotes of Noreen Renier, the author of the book A Mind for Murder: The Real-Life Files of a Psychic Investigator
Her light hearted and down-to-earth way of telling her story was so amusing and absolutely fascinating. Noreen has assisted Law Enforcement Agencies with information obtained by psychic means for years now. Noreen works mostly with a technique called Psychometry (sensing the energy from objects or direct environments). She is the only Psychic who was ever invited to lecture at the FBI academy in Quantico.

Rick Hilleard & Bill Ray
Upon asking Noreen how she deals with all the horror she perceives, she said that she doesn’t remember anything as she goes into a trance-like state and she records the session. She then transcribes her recordings and doesn’t seem to get emotionally involved.
Of course there were stalls, with plenty of books, DVD’s, shirts and information for sale at the conference. We very much enjoyed the conference!
